Police investigating after being notified about a gunshot victim admitted to hospital
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – The Cedar Rapids Police Department is conducting an investigation after a person was shot. Just after 9 o’clock on Saturday evening, officers were sent to St. Luke’s Hospital after being notified about a person who had sustained a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. After receiving treatment, that individual has been discharged from the hospital.
Officers determined the location of the incident was close to the 1200 block of 9th Street NW. According to them, they have gotten statements from the victim and witnesses and are now looking into what happened.
According to the authorities, this was a targeted shooting and the suspect has not yet been located. Anyone who may have information is urged to get in touch with the Cedar Rapids Police Department.
