Man hospitalized after stabbing in Mount Vernon
Linn County, Iowa – One person was arrested after stabbing another person during a domestic disturbance on late Thursday night.
Officers were dispatched around 9:17 p.m. at 969 Ivanhoe Circle in Mount Vernon after reports of domestic dispute.
Upon arrival at the scene, they found two persons arguing. The 28-year-old Charinea Triggs during the altercation allegedly stabbed the 58-year-old Kevin Gouchee in the upper left chest.
Gouchee was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries and Triggs was detained and charged with domestic abuse with a weapon and willful injury. Triggs is being held at the Linn County Jail.
Investigation regarding this incident is ongoing.
