Police warns people of another scam in Cedar Rapids
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – Police is warning Cedar Rapids residents about people who claim to be city employees and ask to pick up items or materials from local stores.
This has happened twice till now and in both cases, scammers used the name of a city worker while taking the items. City officials notify the community that in neither of the cases, the pick up was not made by a city employee.
Cedar Rapids Police Department urges business owners to check the credentials of anyone who claims to represent the City of Cedar Rapids.
Suspicious activity should be reported to the Cedar Rapids Police Department by calling (319) 286-5491.
